The first thing that came to mind while receiving the brief and knowing that our Vernissage would be in person was “finally, we’re back again”. Following that thought, I decided to make my poster typographic to reflect this idea. The shape of the statement reminds of a question mark. This is because we now live in uncertain times and the state of the Vernissage might change at any given time. To contrast this big, bold type, the information about the actual event was purposefully made to be very small in comparison.

The Graphic Design of Dawson College has been through a tough two year while online. This year marks the first year back in person as well as the first physical Vernissage for the third and graduating year students. This is a big moment and considering what happened, this poster should represent both the current situation as well as the graduating students and their completion of the program.
